How bad do you want it?

So. New Zealand. It’s the land of LotR and kiwis, and where my partner of the last 5 years lives. I don’t know much about it, to be honest. I know it’s beautiful and my favorite show ever; Legend of the Seeker (with all its glorious femmeslash subtext) was filmed there. I know there’s a lot of sheep, and everybody’s nice there, for the most part. I know the beaches are beautiful, and the education top notch.

All right, apparently I do know some things about New Zealand after all.

I know who makes me happy, and I’m lucky enough to be doing what makes me happy and get paid for it. I’m going to turn that into a business platform soon.

Time to put my money where my mouth is, put up or shut up, whatever you want to call it. If someone asked me, “How bad do you want it?” and had my partner here in front of me…Well…Let’s just say I’m not going to be making excuses. I want to be with her more than anything, and to do that we both need to focus on our educations. I can’t, as much as I want to–justify moving 10,000 miles; and neither can she right now. We’re going to make it work.

Now, off to write and start designing this new website.

I’ll write more about how we’re toughing out a long distance relationship soon, and I’ll have an update with my shiny new business too! Yay me!

This is my first post here. Seeing as how it’s one in the morning, I should probably go to bed.

Let it be known I hate distance. 10,000 miles is really far away when the person you love is upset.
